About the Day: Who WAS and who IS Mary of Nazareth for us today? We might take the question Jesus asks of the disciples, “Who do you say I am?” and hear Mary ask that same question of us, “Who do you say I am?”, and asking further, “Will you allow me to walk with you, now?”
Throughout the centuries Mary has been given hundreds of titles and attributes and has companioned people in the most important moments of their lives. On this day we will explore both the Mary of history and the Mary of our experience today. How does Mary companion us, how is she a partner in hope and how does she continue to encourage us to carry and bring God to birth in our world?
